Guest Speaker
Our very own incoming President, Linda Goldsmith, shared with us her life experiences which included transforming Chatham's local area hospital and hitch hiking across the country. Educated in physical education, nursing and business administration Linda had a lengthy academic career and as it turns out a lengthy courtship with high school sweetheart, Doug! Linda held positions from Corn-Detassaler (sp? only in Chatham-Kent!) to VP Chief Nursing Executive!
Linda also shared with points she holds dear. Like the importance Canada holds in the Rotary world and how an insensitive or uncaring comment about a person or a people can leave an impression. She emphasized the importance of being kind, caring and positive in what we say and what we do as Rotarians.
Finally, she showed us the well designed new ClubRunner home page edited by her daughter. Hopefully, everyone in the club has a chance to check it out. Check it out; rotarysunrise.com
