Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent and the Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise have teamed up together to introduce "Catch the Ace CK", a progressive lottery program with tickets available to purchase online starting Thursday May 1, 2025.
The new lottery is being introduced with a guaranteed minimum jackpot of $5,000 to the first weekly prize winner who picks the ace of spades.
Catch the Ace programs have proven successful in other communities across the country raising millions of dollars in support of a variety of organizations. In January 2024, Canada’s largest ever jackpot of $8.2 million was won by a couple from Beresford, New Brunswick.
“We’re excited to bring a fun new way of fundraising to Chatham-Kent. Playing "Catch the Ace CK" is a way to not only possibly win something for yourself, but to support your local community doing it”, shares Mike Coyne, Director of Operations and Capital Development for Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent.
In Catch the Ace CK, if the weekly prize winner’s selected card is the Ace of Spades they also claim the progressive jackpot.
One ticket will be selected each week until the Ace of Spades is revealed.
The progressive jackpot grows each week until a lucky winner is crowned.
But to win, you must purchase a ticket. The more tickets sold, the higher the prize values, with a guaranteed minimum jackpot of $5,000. Tickets will be available online beginning May 1st at www.catchtheaceck.ca or in person at the Habitat ReStore, 55 Junction Avenue and can be purchased by Interac, Mastercard Debit, Visa Debit, Visa, or Mastercard.
From each ticket sale, 50% of the value is directed to the local charitable causes of Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent and the Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise, 30% goes to the progressive jackpot, and 20% goes to the winner of the weekly prize.
Complete details will be available at www.catchtheaceck.ca beginning May 1st.
